At the end of December 1999 Varujan Sukiasyan has been appointed as a Head Coach of Armenian "A" National Team. Before the above appointment V.Sukiasyan was a head coach of FC "Tsement" and under his leadership FC "Tsement" became the Champion of Armenia (1998), twice Cup holder (1998,1999) and Super Cup holder (1998). Simultaneously he was at the head of Armenian U-21 National Team recently finished European qualifying tournament. During his coaching practice he worked with Armenian top division clubs - FC "Banants" ( Cup holder ), FC "Kotayk"- and during two years with one of the top division clubs in Lebanon. As a player, he played for FC "Kotayk"(captain of the team) in the former USSR 1st division. He is one of the best all time topscorers of FC "Kotayk".

According to information from reliable sourses, until beginning of WC Qualifying Tournament Armenian "A" National team is going to have friendlies with Georgia, Israel, Lithuania, Russia, USA or Mexico and training camp in France with friendlies against local teams. Simultaneously, the same recourses informs, that the new head coach is going to invite some new players to the team from Russian and Argentinean top division clubs and with this purpose he will visit Argentina during next week.
