With this powerful pair, you experience all the image quality, convenience and compatibility of DVDs, in a thin, sleek and compact design. With the latest advances in technology, superior Canon quality and Megapixel performance, they're perfect for capturing and sharing the special moments in your fast-paced life. With the DC20, you get 2.2 Megapixel performance combined with the brilliance of an RGB Primary Color Filter. You also get Built-in Flash with Red-Eye Reduction, along with a Built-in Video Light for great low light shooting.

Record Direct to DVD
The DC20 digital camcorder gives you all the convenience and functionality of DVD technology by letting you record directly to DVDs, plus a variety of options for shooting and sharing. Only 3" (8cm) in diameter, the DC20's DVD -R/-RW discs are compatible with most DVD players and can store up to 30 minutes of video in standard mode and 60 minutes of video in long play mode. That's 120 minutes on a double-sided disc!
Convenience in a Handy Size
The DC20 unites the convenience and image quality of DVD with the world's smallest Megapixel camcorder. Super-thin and compact, it's never been easier to capture your most unforgettable moments- with a camcorder that's less that 2 inches wide. It's simple to carry it with you in a tote bag or coat pocket so your DC20 is never far from where you need it.
Optical Performance You Can See
The DC20 comes with a 10x optical zoom lens, precisely matched to the camcorder's CCD and featuring a unique, super spectra coating developed exclusively by Canon to reduce flare and ghosting for a clean image. Combined with the camcorder's powerful 200x digital zoom, the lens gives an impressive range of focal lengths.
2.2 Megapixel CCD
One of the reasons the DC20 delivers stunningly vivid video and still images is its razor-sharp 2.2 Megapixel CCD -- one of the DV Photo Plus technologies that ensure uncompromisingly brilliant results. Images are captured with outstanding clarity, giving you brilliant image quality to match the camcorder's brilliant DVD functionality
DIGIC DV
Because Canon's exclusive DIGIC DV signal processing circuit processes video and still images differently, you get uncompromising image quality for both. Video and still images have different color requirements and DIGIC DV technology processes the two signals accordingly. That means your video images are maximized for viewing on monitors and for projection.
Auto Exposure Modes
Like any good digital still camera, the D20 lets you choose from a range of exposure modes. Auto mode automatically sets the exposure, letting you concentrate on your subject. AV (aperture priority) lets you control depth of field by letting you choose the aperture. TV (shutter priority) lets you select the shutter speed for sharp, action shots. In P (program) mode, the camcorder adjusts camera settings automatically.
Print and Share
Print & Share -- another of the powerful Canon DV Photo Plus technologies -- turns your DC20 into a photo lab in the palm of your hand. Simply connect your camcorder directly to select Canon printers or any PictBridge-compatible printer with the supplied USB cable. Then, with a simple touch of the Print & Share button, you can print directly from your DC20 without going through a computer.

NUMBER OF IMAGES STORED ON A DIGITAL CARD

The number of pictures you can take varies depending on your camera model and complexity of the scene being photographed. To calculate how many pictures your card can hold, divide the capacity of your card by the average file size of your images. For example, if you have a 256MB card, and use a camera that has an average file size of 1.2MB, then 256 divided by 1.2 gives you approximately 213 pictures. As you change modes on your camera, the number of images will increase if you shoot in a lower resolution mode, and decrease if you shoot in a higher resolution mode.
