On Earth Day, 22 April 2000, 500 million people around the world will mobilize to bring attention to the critical
environmental issues of our time, especially the need for clean energy. Our growing network consists of 4000 groups in 169
countries who are organizing for Earth Day 2000 in their respective communities. This massive citizen mobilization will
dramatically raise awareness of energy issues and create momentum for change at the individual, community, national, and
international levels.
Earth Day Network's Clean Energy Now! Campaign is bringing together groups who work on transportation, nuclear
power, efficiency, renewable energy, and other related issues to focus global attention on the need to change how energy is
generated and consumed. In April 2000, thousands of energy-related events, campaigns, and projects will be held.
We invite you to join the Earth Day Network's Clean Energy Now! Campaign. Earth Day 2000 allows member groups to
link existing work to a global event, benefit from significant international media attention and promotion, and be part of a
worldwide network of activists unprecedented in depth and scope. Just complete the form below and return it to us. We will
then share your plans with the world by listing your group as part of our Earth Day Website http://www.earthday.net and in
our on-line directory of organizations. We will also include you in our Worldwide Network Bulletin and in other publications.
