Caves are among separated places of the earth. It is significant for them that they are far from the settlements of people, they are in canyons, in mountains and in other unassailable places.

Obstacles, connected with penetration into them, as well as inadequate light of caves or complete darkness are added to it. These factors make investigation of caves difficult and unfeasible in some cases.

Nevertheless, the underground world reveals its mysteries gradually. During latest years new success is registered in the sphere of caves investigation. It regards to a number of sciences, among which there is also chemistry.

A cave is a huge reactor, where duration of chemical reactions is metered in hundreds thousands and millions of years.

One of the branches of chemistry explained successfully macrokinetical phenomena of caves, formation and development of caves, macrokinetical regularities of phenomena proceeding in them.

When macro phenomena stop being unknown, the turn of investigation of the microworld comes. Chemical kinetics play that role successfully. Chemical kinetics is a science about a chemical process, its mechanism and regularities of its proceeding in time. Design and investigation of those processes in laboratory conditions help to investigation of the micro world of chemical reactions proceeding in caves and the cracks of the earth's crust.

Opportunity to penetrate the micro world of physico - chemical phenomena by the author of the monograph was given by the one of well-known centers of kinetics, the years, which were spent in the Institute of Chemical Physics of the National Academy of Science and that experience, which was obtained during more than twenty- five years of investigation of the underground world.

The monograph generalizes those works, which were done by the author in the Institute of Yerevan Chemical Physics and Microbiology, in the Center of Scientific Researches of Yerevan Polytechnic University, in the laboratory of Microbiology of Ministry of Agriculture of Armenia, in the plant of Composition Substances and Speleological Center.

The book is the evidence of that deep respect, which the author cherishes towards the teachers of Yerevan State University, the scientific centers mentioned above and first of all the Institute of Chemical Physics, his companions and scientific leaders.

The author is the winner of the Youth Prize of Armenia. He is the expert of chemical kinetics. At the same time he is the founder of works of caves discovery and investigation in Armenia, he is the author of the books : " The Appeal of Abysses " and " Caves Reveal Their Mysteries ".

This monograph is intended for physico - chemists, geochemists, geologists, volcanologists, mineralologists, speleologists, doctors, microbiologists, and people of a number of other professions.

This is also the evidence of complete love, which he has towards the underground world.
