I am working on one project about one area in giumri (second big city which suffered a lot during the earthquake) named Mush. It is a huge area near the city that soviet government decided to build to help people who lost their houses during the earthquake. Because of mismanagement and corruption this construction never finished. 17 years past a lot of money spend but still this area is standing like a ghost city totally empty. There are a lot of unfinished buildings, and constructions in Armenia like cascade of communism in the center of yerevan. These buildings are now useless to rebuild because they have meaning only within soviet discourse. But when we see these unfinished constructions they provoke our imagination to somehow finish them or to do something with them, perhaps turn them into work of art without ideological content on more individual level or architectural game. I try to find all needed plans of this area and to raise the problem of their existence now and their future, form of the aesthetics as well as social and political imagery of Armenia.
