  Recently Republican Scientific Medical Library has been awarded a grant from the Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation. According to the grant project RSML should develop electornic network of medical libraries.

Highlights

Artavazd B. Sahakyan, M.D., the Chief of the Department, has been appointed an Adjunct Associate Professor for the California College of Podiatric Medicine.

Earlier Gevork V. Yaghjyan, M.D. was appointed as a Member of International Editorial Team of Romanian Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery, published by The Romanian Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery.

The Romanian Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery publishes original articles concerning a broad field of surgery under microscopic magnification.

Contributions can take the form of editorials, original articles, reviews of the literature, research papers, case reports, therapeutical or technical notes, special papers and letters to the Editor.

Rounds are at 9:15 every morning no pre-rounding at 4:30 or rounds at 6:30. There is no operative schedule as such, Conducted in Russian and consists mostly of a seated discussion in a smoky room.

Back in his office by 10:15 am people are starting to file by the office. The door opens without a knock. "Gevorg Vigenovitch, aiz deh a?" They ask, "Is Gevorg Vigenovitch here?"
